My Experiential Background
As a Hispanic American born and raised in the Bronx, I know the empowering feeling of being seen, heard, and understood in all of our identities. I am passionate about being a counselor and walking with clients through their journeys, unlocking that connection to their strengths while also helping them make personal changes. I believe that therapy is a partnered process where you get to explore your story, heal from old wounds, and grow new ways of relating to yourself and others.
Clients who engage with me tend to have positive therapeutic experiences because I cultivate a safe and affirming space for them to be their authentic selves and to show up without fear of being judged. Together, we will explore your identities, the dynamics of your relationships, and move through your life experiences working towards growth, clarity, resilience, and balance. Whether you are navigating anxiety, conflict in relationships, identity development, or processing trauma, I am committed to tailoring therapy to your needs and goals.
My experience includes years of working with individuals in New York City providing HIV/STI counseling, health education, crisis intervention, and case management. I worked at organizations such as Boom Health, The Institute for Family Health, The LGBT Network, the Latino Commission on AIDS (LCOA), and the AIDS Center of Queens County (ACQC), and was fortunate enough to walk along with people from all walks of life, with diverse client bases, especially those within marginalized and underserved communities. Now, I am a full-time crisis counselor working with individuals at-risk for suicide and completing crisis intervention counseling. This work has solidified my commitment to providing people a space of safety, compassion, and hope in moments of pain.
Furthermore, my coursework in midwifery has given me invaluable insight into reproductive and emotional health and understanding the barriers that women and birthing people face while accessing care. This unique, holistic lens enables me to better understand the strong links between mental, emotional, and physical health. In my practice, equity, justice, and empowerment are integrated into the therapeutic experiences of clients, allowing them to not only cope with their challenges but also flourish, while honoring their whole selves.
I believe it is possible to heal, and you do not have to do so alone. If you want to be supported by a therapist who meets you with empathy, cultural humility, and a sincere commitment to your growth. I would be honored to support you on your journey.

Some of the populations I've served and continue to work with are:

Hispanic/Latinx
Those living with HIV/AIDS
Women and Birthing People
Men of Color
Underserved Communities
I acknowledge the difficulty for marginalized individuals to embark on their therapeutic journeys, but don't be discouraged.
I'm here to help smoothen that transition.
